About Tara Archer

Hi, I’m Tara Archer

An Integrative & Functional Medicine Certified Practioner and a Registered Nurse with over 25 years of experience.

I’m passionate about helping women reclaim their health, energy, and vitality through natural, root-cause approaches.

As someone who deeply understands the toll that exhaustion, burnout, and health challenges can take on your life,

I’ve dedicated my career to empowering women to find lasting solutions and true wellness.

Credentials:

Tara has been a registered nurse since 2001. Prior to that, she worked as a CNA in a nursing home, where she developed a deep passion for caring for the elderly. With extensive experience in conventional medicine, she has worked in various healthcare settings, including nursing homes, hospitals, intensive care, acute care, rehabilitation center, and senior care.

For the past 15 years, Tara has dedicated herself to caring for seniors through her family-owned Adult Day Center, supporting participants with chronic illnesses, memory loss, and social isolation. She has a deep understanding of the chronic conditions affecting women and seniors. While she recognizes the strengths of conventional medicine in emergency and urgent care, she also acknowledges its limitations in addressing the root causes of chronic illness and providing long-term care solutions.

Her passion lies in preventing and delaying disease progression by implementing effective lifestyle strategies to enhance overall health and well-being.

In 2022,

Tara’s journey is both inspiring and transformative. In 2022, after undergoing hernia repair surgery, she faced a cascade of health challenges, including hormonal imbalances, chronic pain, and recurring infections. Conventional medicine offered limited solutions, leading her to explore alternative approaches. This search introduced her to functional medicine, where she discovered a holistic, integrative path to healing.

At age 48, Tara was thrust into menopause, confronting a complex mix of fatigue, inflammation, poor diet, chronic stress, and sleep deprivation—common struggles for women in midlife. Refusing to accept these conditions as inevitable, she took a proactive approach, drawing strength from her faith, perseverance, and self-advocacy. Through functional medicine, she found the answers she had been seeking.

Her experience not only transformed her health but also ignited a passion for helping other women navigate similar challenges. Building on her nursing background, she pursued advanced training in functional medicine, earning certifications through Dr. Aviva Romm’s Integrative and Functional Medicine Women’s Certification Program. Today, Tara is dedicated to empowering women to overcome fatigue, burnout, and midlife health crises by providing personalized, holistic care.

Beyond her focus on women’s health, Tara has a deep commitment to caring for seniors. With over 30 years of experience in healthcare, she has devoted much of her career to supporting and advocating for older adults. This work has given her a profound understanding of their unique needs and reinforced her dedication to providing compassionate, holistic care across generations.

Tara’s story is a testament to resilience, self-discovery, and the transformative power of functional medicine.

*Tara: Continuously Expanding Knowledge and Horizons*

Tara’s journey in Functional Medicine is one of continuous evolution, driven by her commitment to lifelong learning and growth. Recognizing the importance of staying current with evidence-based practices, she actively pursues continuing education through trusted platforms like Rupa Health, the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM), and specialized courses such as Allison Siebecker's SIBO Course. By deepening her expertise in Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO), dysbiosis, and food intolerances, she enhances her ability to provide personalized, effective care for her clients.

Her passion for empowering women is at the heart of her work. She understands the unique challenges of balancing career, family, and health—especially as women approach midlife. Tara’s goal is to help women regain control of their well-being, overcome fatigue, and navigate hormonal and metabolic changes so they can thrive both personally and professionally.

Beyond science, Tara’s path in Functional Medicine is also guided by her faith. She recognizes that not all practices within the field align with her values, and she chooses to integrate her work with her Christian beliefs, partnering with the Holy Spirit in her approach. This spiritual connection allows her to support her clients with compassion, wisdom, and a deep sense of purpose, creating a truly holistic healing experience.

Tara’s story is one of continual growth—staying informed, staying grounded in faith, and helping women lead healthier, more fulfilling lives.
